Piney Lakes Reserve

Location: Corner of Murdoch Dr and Leach Hwy Winthrop
Public transport access: There are several buses going down Leach Hwy
Parking: Plenty of parking off Murdoch Drive and off Leach Hwy
Toilets: Yes but there were no lights and toilet paper when we went so be prepared
BBQ: Yes
Drink Fountain: one
Bins: several
Tables and chairs: A few picnic tables though none near the BBQ and a few benches scattered around the park
Undercover areas: No
Paths: Several suitable for riding, jogging and walking

Playground features
Age: All ages
Sand or rubber: Sand and rubber
Basketball hoop: No
Soccer goals: No
Football goals: No
Swings: Yes

Water features: A lake and a gentle waterfall
Special features: This park is pretty popular and it is easy to see why. There is a huge variety in the playground from a wooden ship submerged in sand to a flexible plastic climbing frame, just to mention some. It is picturesque with ducks and frogs in abundance. There is also plenty of lawn and bush areas to explore.
